Why you shouldn't work with SynkedUP

Yes, this page title is a bit in jest 😜 But read on and it’ll make sense. (Welcome here btw 😁)

Hey! 🙋‍♂️ My name is Weston, and I’m the co-founder and CEO of SynkedUP.

Because this particular page risks sounding a little flippant, and maybe even slightly combative, I wanted to write it myself in order to ensure the approach we have chosen to take is properly communicated.

I believe strongly in honesty, and not sugarcoating things. For that reason, I would like to present the reasons we may not be the right fit for some companies. I hope it is well received, and helps you in your evaluation of SynkedUP for your business.

We can fix the math. We can't fix a wrong mindset.

We have been “in the trenches” for decades. As contractors, we’ve failed, messed up, and overcome and won in our own businesses every way imaginable. We’ve taken it on the chin and learned the lessons from the school of hard knocks – life.

All that has given us the experience to get really good at what we do. We know how to make it work. We can fix the math. We can’t fix your mindset.

The numbers never lie.

We can’t guarantee success. What we can guarantee is insight into what your numbers require of you and your pricing, meaning what you need to charge. If you don’t like what the numbers are telling you, we can help you pull the right “levers” to get the numbers to a place that you’re comfortable with, and still makes you profit.

If you don’t want to believe the numbers, and insist on running your business by “gut”, “the seat of your pants”, and “what my competitors are charging”, rather than by the numbers, we can’t help you… yet.

Not until you’re ready to trust the process. When that moment comes for you, hit us up.

It takes time. No time? That's a deal breaker.

Our team is incredible. They can (and do) help contractors execute incredible results every day.

But you need to let us walk with you. Meaning show up for your zoom calls during your onboarding process. Do the homework.*

We get it, life happens, meetings get rescheduled.

But if you can’t commit the time and make it to the zoom meetings with our team, we don’t want your money. It’ll just be a waste for both of us. We want to see results from your investment into your business as badly as you do! But our hands are tied when you simply have no time to receive and follow our guidance.

*The average SynkedUP customer is set up to crank out profitable estimates in a few days, and goes through 3-5 zoom calls with our team during onboarding.

We're just like a machine. You need to turn on the key and run the machine.

In the early days as a contractor, you did everything by the sweat of your brow, with shovels and wheelbarrows.

Then you bought your first machine, and it was amazing. You could dig a ditch with the machine, instead of a shovel.
SynkedUP is just like a machine.
Manual calculations, notepads, and spreadsheets are just like shovels.
If you buy SynkedUP (the machine), but then just can’t bring yourself to break the old ways and habits of using your shovels, it won’t work for you.

Signing up and entering your credit card details is not the hard part.
Changing your old ways, habits, and behaviour is the hard part.

You must be willing to change and adopt the SynkedUP process into your daily grind.
Without change, it won’t work for you.

Trust and adopt the process

As I’ve mentioned before, we been around in the school of hard knocks. Which has given us the hard earned education of the proven SynkedUP process we call the SynkedUP Success Checklist™.

It takes leadership to deploy, adopt, and implement the SynkedUP Success Checklist into your daily operations and across your team.

That leadership is not something we can do for you. We support, guide, advise, and we are your top cheerleaders. 🎉

But you are the only one that can execute the guidance and advice we provide you.

We can give you the gym. You still need to earn the 6 pack.

I’ve had contractors that bought SynkedUP, got halfway through implementing the Success Checklist, and then come back to us saying “My guys don’t want to do it. They don’t want to track time in the app, etc etc”.

That’s a leadership problem, not a software problem.

We can’t fix that.

If you’re not ready to resolutely lead your team through this change, we aren’t the right fit for you.

We don't want to cost you money. We want to make you money.

Some people say SynkedUP is expensive.

Customers have told me point blank they’d gladly pay triple what we charge them with a smile on their face.

What’s more expensive?

Paying the cost of a SynkedUP subscription?

Or working hard all year and having no profit in the bank account to show for it.

We don’t want SynkedUP to cost you money. We want SynkedUP to make you boatloads of money.

The cost of the subscription should be a drop in the bucket compared to the gains and return on investment you get in time savings and always pricing your jobs correctly.

If you view SynkedUP as an expense out of your pocket, rather than a tool that makes you money, we’re not the right fit for you.

For real though, I want your business

I hope nothing I’ve written above causes any offense or makes you shy away from us being the tool you choose for your business.
I would love to earn your business and help you achieve your goals through a mutual partnership.

Right now, you’re considering placing your trust in my company and team to help you achieve your goals in less time. In an industry where the majority of businesses fail within the first 5 years, that’s a daunting prospect for both of us!

Luckily for you, we’ve been there done that. And you can plug your business’s processes into the proven SynkedUP process.

But before we start, we must start off on the right foot with full truth and transparency as the foundation of our relationship.

I want to (and know we can) help you get to your goals. But before you pull out your credit card and we each say “I do”, I want to make sure we’ve set the proper expectations.

If you want to read more of what exactly SynkedUP is and does, and who it’s the best fit for, read this.

Regardless of whether or not we’re able to work together, I wish you success. 🤝
